Dear Archdeacon of the Diocese of Fredericton,
As you are aware our Diocese signed a Companion Diocese covenant with the Diocese of Ho, Ghana, during the June Synod, 2007. The Companion Diocese Committee has been in continuous contact with Bishop Matthias of Ho and has discussed many ideas and goals for this relationship. As well, many individuals and parishes have expressed desire to have more contact with Bishop Matthias and his people.
Our committee feels that one of the most important goals of this relationship is to faithfully pray for the Diocese of Ho and all their needs. To make this prayer more meaningful and personal we are requesting that each Archdeaconry adopt one of the parishes in Ho to pray for as well as for the Diocese and Bishop Matthias. We hope that as we receive more information about the Diocese of Ho and its growth we can provide addresses and photos so that people can have a greater understanding of the work and progress in Ho.
We are requesting that your Archdeaconry pray for the parish indicated in the chart below. We are sending a small amount of information to you on Ho and hope that your parishes will take this commitment of prayer into their hearts and daily lives. This information will also be placed in the NB Anglican.
